What is UK Recruiter? - What's on the site? - The Recruitment Software Comparison Tables - Who are we? - How do we make money? - Business ethos
The UK Recruiter site is an information resource for recruiters operating in the UK. We like to think of ourselves as creating a community of recruitment professionals. It is completely free for UK recruiters to use the site.
Our main areas of activity are our industry supplier directory, our weekly email newsletter and our discussion board. Louise also writes a blog and we run networking events.
Our objective is to provide the most comprehensive set of information and links for the UK recruitment industry.
Industry Supplier Directory - a comprehensive list of companies who provided products and services to the recruitment industry in the UK. To make the directory as useful to recruiters as possible we allow any relevant company a free listing. We take advertising in this directory; these are the companies with a logo next to their name. Every six months we send an email to every company in the directory. If they don't respond (after one two reminders and a notification of their removal) we take them off the directory. We figure that if they can't manage to respond to us they are either no longer in business or would probably give you the same level of response!

Our Discussion Forum is a place where you can share ideas and ask for advice from other professionals within the UK Recruitment marketplace. We don't allow advertising of products or services on the board and it is closely moderated with unsuitable content removed.
Louise started a UK Recruiter blog in July 2006.
We also run networking events. Information about these can be found on the recruiters network site. We also publish details of any events in the newsletter.
The Recruitment Software Comparison TableS
One of the things we regularly get asked is if we can help recruiters decide which recruitment software product to buy. Apart from the fact that there are too many for us to keep track of, our role at UK Recruiter is to stay impartial. As a result we've created the Recruitment Software Comparison Tables. All the information in these tables has been provided by the individual software company. Every software company in our database has the opportunity to submit their details for this document. From advertisers in the newsletter and on the site
We offer advertising opportunities to suppliers of products and services to the industry to help fund the newsletter and site. Information on advertising opportunities can be found on this website or by contacting us. No charge is made for listing companies on the website.
Louise is trained in psychometric and aptitude testing and offers consultancy services in these areas. There is more information on the New Media in Business website.
We do not allow third party's to purchase the email addresses we have in our database of newsletter subscribers.
We are happy to list any company on our website as long as they provide a service to recruiters in the UK. The only companies we do not list are recruitment companies themselves. This is because we feel there are already other companies offering this service who are doing a great job (a list can be found in the directories of recruiters section).
