Frequently Asked Questions

The Recruiters Network organise networking events for recruitment professionals in the UK.  The first Recruiters Networking Event took place in May 2002.

Our networking evenings are a great opportunity to meet with other professionals operating across all segments of the industry. Anyone working within the recruitment industry is invited to attend; whether a recruiter, researcher, job board, publisher, corporate recruiter or supplier to the industry.  The Recruitment Networking Events are organised by UK Recruiter and Broadbean Technology.

Who organises the events
Louise Triance of UK Recruiter and the team at Broadbean (specifically and Ricky and Tarah).

How often are the networking events held?
For 2008 we will be running five networking events.  Three will be in central London, one in Manchester and one in Scotland.

Who should attend?
All professionals working in or supporting the recruitment industry.

Where are they held?
London events are normally held at a bar in EC1. However, the location isn't always the same so please check before attending.  The venue for regional events has yet to be confirmed.

What's the format?
At each event we will have industry expert speakers as well as plenty of time for networking amongst the attendees.  You should take the opportunity to talk with other recruiters, suppliers and corporate recruiters. Louise and other organisers will be on hand during the evening.  Whilst we're happy to engineer introductions it is up to you to network.  Don't forget your business cards!

What time do they start and finish?
The timings are not always the same.  However, they normally start at around 6.00pm and most people turn up before 7pm. The bulk of the business activity ends around 9pm.  However, many people stay and socialise until the bar closes!

How many people attend?
Around 120 to 150 attendees per event.

What sort of people attend?
We get a mix of people attending the networking events. From Consultants and sales personnel up to Directors & Owners. The attendees come from recruitment organisations, recruitment to recruitment firms, job boards, software companies, publications, ad agencies, PR... right across the spectrum of people in the "recruitment industry".

Does cost anything to attend?
It's free to attend unless otherwise mentioned. However, you may  have to buy your own drinks!
